Distribution in the Canary Islands

Virtually the whole island of Fuerteventura.

Origin

Habitat

It occupies rocky areas with a certain development of shrubs and bushes, usually in ravines, hillsides, and even in crops and badlands (exceptionally in plains). The nest is located in walls, under rocks or plants and even occasionally in the bush itself. It is a species probably quite sedentary, although outside the breeding season has been seen in gardens of tourist resorts. (Martín & Lorenzo, 2001)
