Canary endemic
Practically the whole of Fuerteventura and Center and North of Lanzarote.
Species linked to fresh and humid environments, often at a certain altitude (from 50 to 600 meters above sea level), in slopes exposed to trade winds and in cultivated valleys. It prefers stony places with well developed soils, although it also occupies volcanic malpais with good plant colonization. It also inhabits enclaves with little altered residues of thermophilic forest and cardonal-tabaibal thicket. (Pleguezuelos et al., 2002)
