Origin

Habitat

The females lay their eggs on sandy beaches. Newborns enter the marine environment while remaining in a pelagic phase, adrift. The main currents scatter them far from their native places. When they reach sexual maturity, they migrate to the coastal areas and concentrate near the nesting beaches. (IUCN, 2015)
