Origin

Habitat

It participates in shrubbery communities of rocky environments, probably as a refuge to the old depredation by goats. Potentially participates in high mountain scrub (Gómez et al., 1996)

Population data

In the census carried out in 2007, 650 specimens were counted in Tenerife, of which 73 are natural and 577 planted. In Palma, 3,868 specimens were counted, of which 22 are natural and 3,846 planted. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2007)
