Canary endemic
South and Southeast of Tenerife, and East of Gran Canaria.
Present in cliffs and rocky terrain little altered, subjected to the intense action of the seas. In Tenerife it is installed mainly in pumitical or basaltic lands, while in Gran Canaria it prefers calcareous substrates, sometimes with superficial sand. (Beltrán et al., 1999)
In the census conducted in 2010 1,787 copies were recorded in Tenerife and 173,973 copies were estimated for Gran Canaria (GESPLAN, 2010)
